Announcing decrease of child mortality rate by 60 percent
By 2030, it will be effective if 10 million children
* 3 lac of children are cancerually affected every year
* Most of the children of middle and lower age children
Cancer is one of the reasons for child deaths worldwide.
Doctors have no clear idea about why children are infected with cancer.
However, at least 300,000 newborns are infected every year in this disease.
The World Health Organization has recently announced a
special program to save children from cancer. It is possible to save the life
of at least one million children if the program announced by 2030 is possible
to save lives.
According to the World Health Organization, children like
adults have one of the main causes of cancer. Every year, about 300,000 newborn
babies are affected by cancer in the age group of 19-year-old children. In the
mid-and-low-income countries, the death rate of children with cancer is four
times higher than those of high-income countries. Because in mid-and-low-income
countries, diagnosis is delayed and in most cases it is not possible for the
family to continue treatment. Besides, there is a lack of experienced and
specialist doctors.
Considering this matter seriously, the World Health
Organization has announced to reduce the child mortality rate by 60 percent by
2030. The Global Initiative - 2030 has been announced by the Global
Initiative-2030 for children's cancer control. Wherever it has been said, by
2030, the rate of cancer of children will be reduced by 60 percent. To ensure
that it would be possible to save the life of at least one million children.
According to the company's information, cancer is one of the
main causes of global death. In 2016, 96 million people are believed to have
died due to this disease. The lungs, prostate, colorectal, stomach and liver
cancer are among the most common. On the other hand, cervical, breast,
colorectal, lungs, thyroid cancer is most likely to be noticed among women.
However, the number of children suffering from acute tumor type of cancer such
as leukemia, brain cancer, lymphoma, new tubalastoma and wills tumor.
In the high income countries, more than 80 percent of
children with cancer were cured of cancer. This rate is not more than 20
percent in the middle and lower income countries. However, it is possible to
cure child cancer if it is necessary to ensure necessary medicines, surgery and
radiotherapy including at the right time. On the other hand, the number of
deaths due to the disease is increasing due to wrong or delay, mid-way
treatment, side effects, due to lack of necessary treatment and services.
The World Health Organization has taken various steps to
implement the announced program. In the meantime, the concept of childhood
cancer through awareness increases in global and national levels. Apart from
ensuring the availability of medicines and technologies in lower and
middle-income countries, it is necessary to help the governments by evaluating
the diagnosis and treatment of cancer by assessing the present capabilities of
treatment.
In this case, if necessary, take action to prepare the
National Strategy, Health Benefit Package and Social Insurance Scheme to
counter childhood cancer. In this context, the director general of the World
Health Organization. Tadros Adham Ghabriasas said that due to cancer, many
children in the world are being deprived of perfect life. Problems in poor
countries in comparison to rich countries. It is expected that necessary
initiative will be implemented in this regard.
In context, cancer begins with a single genetic mutation of
cells and at one stage that goes beyond control. In most cases the cancer forms
the tumor. If it is not treated then it usually grows, attacks other parts of
the body and causes death. Most of the causes of cancer in adults are not known
because of cancer in adults.
In many studies, the causes of child cancer are being
identified. However, it is known that very few causes of cancer are due to
environmental or lifestyle issues. According to experts, some chronic
infections cause the risk of child cancer and its prevalence in low-and
middle-income countries. HIV, epstein-bar virus and malaria etc. increase the
risk of cancer in childhood.
